FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: welded unit of cross rods coupling comprises rods and a pair of pads. Rods are made of rectangular pipes, which are continuous in both directions. Pipes have identical cross section and identical cuts for mutual stretching through each other. Cuts are compensated in the unit by a pair of pads of rhombic type arranged crosswise to each other. Cut and longitudinal edges of pads are welded by corner joints, which are not reaching butt joints of rods by at least 10 mm.
EFFECT: increased bearing capacity of a unit joint and provision of its uniform strength with rod elements.
