SUBSTANCE: apparatus for breaking chains of organic molecules comprises a reactor 10, having an airtight container 14 in which there are mechanical tools which subject the material to mechanical softening and extension. The mechanical tools have a worm screw having at least two series-arranged parts 15c, 15d, 15e, 15f, whose spirals turn in opposite directions.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain aliphatic molecules with not more than 20 carbon atoms, with high output of gaseous and liquid compounds at low cost of the process and low power consumption.
