FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electric power supply sub-system includes AC electric drive assembly electrically connected to high-voltage DC bus. Electric power supply sub-system also includes low-voltage DC bus which supplies the power to group of low-voltage components of cooling plant, which include fans of cooling plant. Microcontroller sets AC voltage and AC frequency, which is supplied to electric power compressor. Method for preventing speed loss of compressor of transport cooling plant involves limitation of AC power consumption of compressor; as a result, AC voltage causing compressor speed loss does not occur. Besides, electric power supply sub-system of compressor of transport cooling plant includes operative information referring to compressor and represented in the form of voltage vs. frequency V(f), and microcontroller supplies commands for setting of AC voltage and AC frequency to compressor.

EFFECT: ac electric drive assembly provides AC electric power supply of cooling compressor in compliance with the cooling need.
