FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: bell sound frequency characteristics are measured to determined from obtained diagram the magnitude of undertone. Then, bell is placed in gasostatic extruder to be reduced at 1000-1200 atm. Then, bell sound frequency characteristics are measured again to reveal undertone magnitudes. Now, bell age is defined using the following formula: where: T stands for age, years; Kw is weight factor; F1 is undertone magnitude before processing in gasostatic extruder, Hz; F2 is undertone after processing in gasostatic extruder, Hz.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination.
