FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sound velocity in bell material is measured. Bell is placed in gasostatic extruder and reduced at 1000-2000 atm. Sound velocity is measured again to determine bell age proceeding from the following relationship: where: T is age in years, Cs1 is sound velocity in bell material before placing in gasostatic extruder, m/s; Cs2 is sound velocity in bell material after placing in gasostatic extruder, m/s.
EFFECT: higher accuracy.
