SUBSTANCE: computer executed method of setting functionalities of the means of control involves specification of the means of control through a user interface, associating a first action component with the means of control, wherein the first action component and the means of control are independently adjusted components, associating an event with the means of control, receiving a value in the means of control entered by the user through a user interface, performing a first action at a time instant associated with that time instant when the event is close, wherein performing the first action involves performing a logic operation over the said value, associating a second action component with the first action component and means of control. The first action component, second action component an the means of control are independently adjusted components and the second action component is performed if an event occurs.

EFFECT: simple design of user interface components and adaptation thereof to various applications.
