SUBSTANCE: radioactive waste storage container includes housing; in end part of container there is access hole to inner space of container, and removable cover capable of closing the above hole. Cover is two-sided and has on one of its sides the first closing part restricting inner space of housing, from which the second means serving as a handle protrude; at that, the above first closing part of the cover is provided with possibility of entering with preload the end part of the housing, which forms the hole. On the other side of the cover there is the second closing part and the second surface opposite to the first one, which restricts inner space of the container housing and from which the first means serving as a handle protrude; at that, the above second closing part of the cover is provided with possibility of entering without any force the end part of the housing, which forms the hole.
EFFECT: invention allows the operator to select the version of the container opening, during subsequent operations of waste loading, with its further closing without any forces.
