SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for application in food industry in the course of cooked sausage storage. One lays out cooked sausages in natural and artificial protein casings for display on a refrigerated counter and during the whole marketing period treats them with blue light from a light-emitting-diode device mounted in the counter. The blue light wave length is 430 - 460 nm; intensity of light flux is 35 microwatt/cm2; capacity is 15 J/sec.

EFFECT: extension of cooked sausage storage life in distribution network by way of reduction of the product microbial contamination and lipids oxidation.
