SUBSTANCE: first code phase is detected in a first periodically recurring pseudorandom encoded signal received from a first space vehicle (SV) in a reference location; and the search range of the code phase is determined for detecting the phase of a second code in a second periodically recurring pseudorandom encoded signal received from a second SV in said reference location based at least partly on said detected code phase of said first received signal, estimated azimuthal angle for said first SV from said reference location and estimated azimuthal angle for said second SV from said reference location.
EFFECT: low consumption of power and processing resources in mobile telephones and other devices when detecting one or more attributes in one navigation signal received in a reference location.
