FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: method to calibrate electromagnet flow metres includes conversion of primary converter magnetic field into electric voltage with the help of an inductance coil arranged in the magnetic field of the flow metre, integration of electric voltage produced at output terminals of the inductance coil, and determination of an experimental coefficient of flow metre conversion Kf. At the same time before the start of operation the conversion coefficient is determined with the help of two inductance coils, one of which is arranged in the channel, and the other one is arranged outside the limits of the flow metre channel. Then the ratio of electromagnetic flow metre conversion coefficients k=Kf/Kf2, where Kf is a conversion coefficient determined with the help of an inductance coil arranged in the flow metre channel, and Kf2 is a conversion coefficient determined with the help of inductance coil arranged outside the limits of the flow metre channel. At the same time in process of flow metre calibration without pipeline dismantling the conversion coefficient Kf2 is determined by integration of electric voltage at output terminals of the inductance coil arranged outside the channel limits, measurement of the conversion coefficient Kf2. On this basis the rated value of the conversion coefficient Kf is calculated using formula Kf=kKf2.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility to calibrate the operated flow metre without its dismantling from the pipeline and without interruption of metered liquid flow along the pipeline.
