FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: during wideband speech coding at the output of an analogue-to-digital converter, the speech signal is split into quasi-stationary parts, on each of which the autocorrelation function of the signal is calculated. Further, the value of the correlation interval is determined and the effective bandwidth is calculated. The decimation coefficient is then calculated and the analysed speech signal undergoes decimation to obtain at the output of the decimation system the necessary and sufficient number of readings for presenting the speech signal during wideband coding.
EFFECT: reduced volume of data during wideband speech coding.
