FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to pneumothermal moulding of parts from sheet billets. Proposed method comprises heating the billet and female die by feeding working medium pressure. Note here that constant deformation rate is maintained. Irregular temperature field is created on female die surface in zone of contact between billet and female die to allow reduced tapered edge at maximum strain points. Proposed device comprises working fluid feed system, female die with cover that form working cavity to receive billet. Female die incorporates inserts made from metal that features lower heat conductivity compared with female dire main material. Said inserts are arranged on female die surface at maximum strain points.
EFFECT: higher quality.
