FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 1-ethyl-3-alkylaluminium cyclopentanes of general formula (1): (1), where R=n-C4H9, n-C6H13, n-C8H17. The method involves reaction of α-olefins R-CH=CH2 (where R= n-C4H9, n-C6H13, n-C8H17) with EtAlCl2 in the presence of Mg and a Cp2ZrCl2 catalyst at room temperature in a tetrahydrofuran (THF) solvent for 6-8 hours. Ethylene is fed into the reaction mass at excess pressure of 0.2 atm. Molar ratio R-CH=CH2:EtAlCl2:Mg:Cp2ZrCl2 = 10:(10-18):(10-14):(0.3-0.7).
EFFECT: method increases output and cuts reaction time.
