FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: control of diesel engine transition for operation with various fuels is carried out by an electronic control unit by a signal from a diesel engine crankshaft rotation frequency sensor automatically, without participation of service personnel, and fuel tanks are made in the form of a single module with an inner partition, which makes it possible to reduce the occupied area and utilities. The system of diesel locomotive engine supply comprises fuel tanks, a heat exchanger and joined lines of supply and manifolds of diesel and heavy fuels drainage, fuel-injecting pumps of low pressure, coarse filters, jet centrifuges and valves controlled by the electronic control unit, and also common manifolds of fuel supply and drain. Fuel tanks for diesel and heavy fuels are made as a single module with an inner partition, the electronic unit controls transition of the diesel engine for various types of fuel by a signal of a crankshaft rotation frequency sensor, and transition to operation of the diesel engine at heavy fuel is carried out automatically from the operator's controller.
