FIELD: testing fuels.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing fuels with the help of stand units particularly to assess the low-temperature pumpability of fuels for diesel engines. The installation contains a fuel tank with a temperature sensor placed in a heat chamber. The installation also has a fuel pump and an electric drive that are consecutively connected to each other along the flow of the fuel. The installation also has replaceable coarse and fine filters, a fuel consumption sensor and a fine filter, pressure sensors located in front of and behind the fine filter, a temperature sensor of the fuel, a circulation loop for mixing fuel in the tank during cooling and an information and control system unit that collects information from the measuring equipment and controls the executive equipment located outside the heat chamber into which electromagnetic valves are additionally installed for automated control of fuel pumping along independent routes. The installation also includes a simulator of hydraulic resistance of the fuel system, a high-pressure fuel pump with a controlled electric drive, fuel injectors with a measuring container, a pressure sensor located in front of the coarse filter, two pressure sensors at the outlet of the high-pressure pump in front of the corresponding fuel injectors, two additional built-in fuel temperature sensors in the tank and a fuel flow sensor at the inlet to the fuel tank along the circulation circuit.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to quickly assess the pumpability of diesel fuel cooled at a given rate to a given temperature, sequentially, in the low and high pressure circuits, to determine the values of fuel supply and pressure in the fuel line and to predict critical temperatures to ensure reliable engine starting and operation.
