FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in a system of public and potable water supply, to produce and store potable water of the highest category of quality, to prepare water for food and pharmaceutical industries. To realise the method, the source water is put in contact with a sorption material on the basis of a natural silicate polymineral, such as serpentinite. At the same time the method includes synthesis of hydrogen peroxide on the surface of the sorption material grains. For this purpose the source water in process of contact with this sorption material is aerated. Contact of initial water with sorption material and its aeration is carried out under dynamic conditions by sending this water through a tower that contains serpentinite in the form of granules, in the top-down direction, and air - in the opposite direction. When using serpentinite, previously treated with an alkaline solution to obtain ion-exchange properties, simultaneously water treatment from contaminating chemical components is provided.
EFFECT: method provides for high bactericide efficiency when using a cheap natural silicate polymineral without additional stages of treatment and introduction of bactericide agents.
