FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: communication terminal having a housing and a plurality of elastic buttons is disclosed. The housing has two opposite lateral sides. Each button has a first end which is integrated with the top edge of one of the lateral sides. The second end of the button opposite the first end freely moves relative the housing. Input key switches may be respectively positioned beneath each button. Pressing each button leads to bending of the button and contact of the free end with corresponding key switches. Each input key switch can detect a key input when the second end of the button is brought into contact with the input key switch.

EFFECT: simple design of the input device of a communication terminal.
