FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: wearing lining produced by inserting refractory material in gap between mould fitted in teeming or tundish ladle and standard lining. Said refractory material comprises 4 wt % of sodium or potassium silicate and ester, or mix of esters. Ester and sodium or potassium silicate are added to refractory material simultaneously with placing the latter into target point of lining while ester is added to refractory material immediately before addition of sodium or potassium silicate. Gas permeability and heat insulating properties of lining are varied by fitting carbon dioxide into more permeable sections of lining for acceleration or intensification of gel formation at said sections.
EFFECT: longer life of wearing lining.
