FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of compacted parallelepiped-shaped bales that feature width A, height B and length C. Proposed device comprises press housing with at least one compaction chamber and driven compaction board. Collector is arranged behind compaction chamber separated therefrom by partition. Compaction chamber, if seen perpendicular, to compaction direction, has cross section area equal to AxC/n where n exceeds or equals 2. Said partition in open position clears the opening with sizes making at least AxB. Proposed device incorporates manipulator to transfer partially compacted bales from compaction chamber into collector. Another manipulator is arranged in said collector or behind it to joint partially compacted bales into preset-size compacted bale.

EFFECT: higher reliability of operation, density of bales and efficiency of compaction.
