SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of distributing pilot subcarriers in a resource unit for a broadband wireless mobile communication system, having four transmission antennae which use orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM). In this method, pilot subcarriers are distributed in the resource unit such that a group of successive subcarrier data separated from a neighbouring group of successive subcarrier data by pilot subcarriers has an even number of subcarriers within the OFDMA symbol.
EFFECT: efficient distribution of pilot subcarriers in a wireless communication system.
