FIELD: communication facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication system using multiple access scheme with orthogonal frequency distribution (OFDMA). Method of transmission/reception of channel quality information (CQI) is performed in communication system featuring frame with subchannels corresponding to the same factor of frequency reuse or different factors of frequency reuse. Base station (BS) selects at least one subchannel within frame for client station (SS) and sends SS a CQI transmission request for subchannel required for reception. In response to CQI request SS measures channel quality for single requested BS channels and transmits channel quality measurements to BS.

EFFECT: possibility of efficient radio resource distribution.
