SOLID WELDING WIRE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B23K35/30 C22C38/40 C22C38/08

Abstract RU 2436664 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely, to a welding wire used for welding cryogenic steels. The wire is made of the following material, containing carbon: 0.10 wt % or less, not including 0%, silicon: 0.15 wt % or less, not including 0%, nickel: 8.0-15 wt %, manganese: 0.10-0.80 wt %, and oxygen in the amount of 150 parts/mln. or less, including 0%, and the balance is Fe and unavoidable admixtures. The material contains chromium: 4.0 wt % or less, not including 0% or Al: 0.1 wt % or less, not including 0%, and rare-earth metals: 0.005 - 0.040 wt %, and may also additionally contain titanium: 0.10 wt % or less, not including 0%.

EFFECT: welded joints produced with application of the wire have higher low-temperature impact viscosity and resistance to cracking at cryogenic temperatures.
