SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glasing which is used as a sound generator. The sound-generating glasing has a glass sheet and a solid sheet which are joined together by a film of absorbing material. The film has shearing modulus less than 106 Pa at frequency 200 Hz and temperature 20°C. Exciters are attached to the glasing, which generate vibrations in the glasing so as to create sound waves in the audible spectral range.
EFFECT: improved optical and mechanical properties of the glasing.
