FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves arrangement of wood fuel, for example waste wood, in the furnace in order to obtain flue gas, its combustion and introduction of high-temperature flue gas to the chamber in which wood for heat drying is arranged. At that, in the chamber, in addition to wood material drying process, there performed is heat modification process involving stage of gradual wood heating to temperature of 160-170°C by supplying to the chamber of flue gases of high concentration supported at the level of 95-100 vol. %, and their continuous multiple circulation in the chamber, and when the temperature of 160-170°C is achieved, flue gases are supplied from furnace to heat exchanger and further heating up to 180-220°C is performed owing to heat transfer between steam-gas mixture circulating in the chamber and flue gases supplied to heat exchanger. Heat modification chamber represents heat insulated metal chamber with flaps, which has two gas ducts equipped with gate valves. Inside the chamber there is false floor and false ceiling, pipework via which circulation of steam-gas mixture is performed by means of centrifugal fan, and ejecting devices.
EFFECT: reducing economic expenditures connected with wood drying and heat modification process and prime cost of the device design.
