FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device is based on modulation pyrometry. The invention involves periodic irradiation of an object with noise radiation with wide frequency range and receiving in a first time interval in a first channel thermal radiation of the object and in a second channel radiation generated by a reference radiation source, and receiving reference radiation in a second time interval, which is equal to the first interval, in the first and second channels. Irradiation of the object with noise radiation is carried out simultaneously with reception of radio-frequency radiation of the object in the first channel and ends at the moment reception of reference radiation in the first channel ends. The received radiation is converted to electrical signals which are used together with noise signal parameters to determine physical temperature of the object.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy owing to exclusion of the effect of emissivity of the surface of the object, transmission coefficient of the atmosphere and reception angle on measurement results.
