FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of imaging the structure of gas-discharge fluorescence of an object in an electromagnetic field involves obtaining an image signal using a photodetector array, converting said signal into a digital code, storing said code and displaying on a monitor screen. Exposure to the electromagnetic field is carried out with single pulses at the end of blackout pulses of the frame. Digital codes of frame elements are compared with digital codes of corresponding frame elements obtained from the previous comparison, and the image of the gas-discharge structure of elements with maximum values of digital codes is formed.
EFFECT: high image quality owing to low noise level in the obtained image of the structure of gas-discharge fluorescence.
