METHOD OF CORRECTING PARALYSED MIMIC MUSCULATURE OF MEDIAL AND LOWER ZONES OF FACE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgery and can be applied for correction of mimic musculature of medium and lower zones of face. Before operation lateral smile of healthy side of patient without teeth exposure is estimated. Direction -vector of muscular traction at smile is set, on operation side, as mirror reflection to it, line is determined. During operation flap of temporal muscle is exposed to its tendon part. Tunnel in zygomatic bone is formed. Flap from superficial muscular-aponeurotic system (SMAS) id formed from auricle along 4±1 cm and perforated in point of intersection of said line and line of muscular fibres direction in formed flap of temporal muscle. Flap is passed in tunnel under SMAS layer, and perforating it, above it. Flap of temporal muscle is fixed to circular muscle of mouth or submucous layer. Defect of temporal muscle is replaced with dermatoadipose flap.

EFFECT: method ensures stable functional and cosmetic result.
