FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used for producing parts in machine building. In compliance with this method, billets made by finish cutting from sheet strip are used, one cut edge being blunted and opposite being sharp. Billet is bent in different directions. Not here that after finish cutting, sharp edge is blunted by recaulking and shifted for 0.5 mm toward neutral surface of the bent. Shifted metal buckling onto cut side surface is ruled out by stamping punch. The latter is closely fitted in cut surface for burnishing said surface along with blunting and displacing said edge in one pass of the press.
EFFECT: ruling out crack formation of part sharp edge in bending.
