FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: ring is made as frame consisting of two half rings of high conducting metal insulated one from another. Mounting current conducting brackets are symmetrically secured on different half-rings of the frame. The brackets facilitate installation of the current conducting ring in an electrode column. Pipe bus bars are located inside half-rings of the frame.
EFFECT: reduced electrical losses in packages of short circuit and in ring proper, reduced inductive losses, uniformity of current distribution on contact clamp.
