FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set on inventions relates to device and method for fabricating increased-surface-area structural component from composite material reinforced by fibres for use in aircraft engineering. Proposed device comprises definite forming element, controlled laying mechanism to lay at least one fibrous sheet over forming element or inside it. Note here that said laying mechanism incorporates four synchronously-controlled lifting columns grouped in pairs around said forming element. Note also that each said pair is furnished with height-adjusted transverse element each incorporating two built-in intake carriages to mount pre-prepared rolls of fibrous material and displace in synchronism along relevant transverse element. Besides, it comprises controlled rotary device to turn forming and laying mechanisms through preset angle relative to each other, and central control device connected to both said mechanisms for their control. Proposed method comprises providing definite forming element and pre-rolling fibrous sheet into two rolls to be taken up by controlled laying mechanism. Said fibrous sheet is laid atop said forming element or inside it by adjusting position of said two rolls in vertical and horizontal directions and by driving said rolls uniformly and synchronously from forming element center to its edge by controlled laying mechanism. Then, forming element and laying mechanisms are turned through preset angle relative to each other, and central control device connected to both said mechanisms for their control, and laying the next fibrous sheet atop laid one.
