FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed actuate comprises first drive mechanism provided with casing with lengthwise axis and first and second directions, and throw-in mechanism to generate throw-in force in at least first direction. It incorporates at least one return spring connected with throw-in mechanism to shift the latter in second direction. Pneumatic booster is connected with throw-in mechanism to shift it first direction for drive mechanism to increase force in first direction. Invention covers also versions of engine valve actuator design versions and method of controlling aforesaid actuator.
EFFECT: higher initial force of valve opening and notable valve closing force, valve faster operation.
