FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed diesel engine fuel system comprises fuel tank for compressed liquefied gas, proportioning valve communicated with fuel tank to control liquefied gas flow, and mixing chamber to mix adequate amounts of liquefied gas and diesel fuel to produce liquid combustible mix. Said mix is pressurised and fed into combustion chamber. Diesel engine double fuel system comprises fuel tank for compressed liquefied gas, proportioning valve communicated with fuel tank to control liquefied gas flow, and mixing chamber to mix adequate amounts of liquefied gas and diesel fuel to produce liquid combustible mix. Said double system feeds liquid mix into combustion chamber. Diesel engine with double fuel system comprises first tank for compressed liquefied gas, second tank for compressed diesel fuel, first proportioning valve communicated with first tank to control liquefied gas flow, second proportioning valve communicated with first tank to control diesel fuel flow, mixing chamber communicated with first and second proportioning valves. Mixing chamber to mix adequate amounts of liquefied gas and diesel fuel to produce liquid combustible mix comprises distributors of said mix into each combustion chamber provided with processor to control selection of fuel composition by control over appropriate proportioning valve.
EFFECT: alternative fuel system to reduce harmful emissions and operating costs.
