FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method to produce a gypsum-based board that protects against radiation includes the following stages: provision of powdery hardened alabaster with grain size d 50 from 30 to 50 mcm, provision of powdery barium sulfate, having grain size d 50 from 5 to 15 mcm, mixing powdery alabaster and powdery barium sulfate, tempering of powder mixtures with water to produce the ratio of water and dry substance from 0.50 to 0.60, shaping of a gypsum board at an ordinary plant for production of gypsum boards. The board that protects against radiation is prepared by the specified method. A gypsum plasterboard structure comprises at least one specified board. Application of a board that protects against radiation or a gypsum plasterboard for sound insulation. Invention is developed in invention subclaims.
EFFECT: higher extent of radiation absorption, preferably, X-ray one, with preservation of main physical and mechanical properties of a board.
