FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: before generating coordinates of the centre of the tracking strobe, the average tracking error on each of the coordinates is compared with a given threshold, where if the average tracking error of the (n-1)-th frame on each of the coordinates exceeds the given threshold, the centre of the strobe on that coordinate in the n-th frame is shifted by the value of that threshold to the side where the directly measured tracking error falls, and the measured tracking error on the same coordinate of the n-th frame is increased by the value of the same threshold to compensate for the effect of shifting the tracking error by the obtained estimate values of the state vector of the object. The digital television tracking system additionally includes a first adder 13, a correction device 14 and a second adder 15, where the input of the first adder 13 is connected to the output of a discriminator 6, and the output is connected to inputs of a trajectory filter 9 and the correction device 14, the output of which is connected to the second input of the first adder 13 and the first input of the second adder 15, the second input of which is connected to the third output of the trajectory filter 9, and the output to the data input of the strobe generator 7.
EFFECT: high stability of tracking systems owing to dynamic adjustment of the position of the centre of the tracking strobe without increasing the size of the strobe.
