FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses system(s) and method(s) for controlling interference between cells in a wireless communication system. A base station controls interference by transmitting and receiving load indicator messages over a feedback line to other neighbouring base stations which service mobile jamming stations. Creation of reports with the load indicator is carried out according to the reporting policy, which is based on events and takes into account changes in interference on available frequency-time resources. Communication with neighbouring base station is limited by a controlled set of interferences, which can be defied statically according to wireless network deployment characteristics, or the set can be controlled dynamically according to a set of received UL signals or a set of reports on CQI DL changes. The reporting policy and the set of interferences can be independently realised with possibility of optimising feedback traffic, as well as interference control.

EFFECT: interference control mechanism, which preserves throughput of a cell or sector with simultaneous efficient interference control.
