FIELD: spectral analysis.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique of discrete spectral analysis and can be used in measuring techniques. Method for determining the frequency of a narrowband signal, in which the signal with duration T is sampled to obtain N points, then the discrete energy spectrum calculated, and determined the number k of spectral component with maximum amplitude. The discrete spectrum obtained with using the discrete Hartley transform. Then for k and (k + 1) the odd sine Hsk and even cosine Hck spectral components are calculated, and then the value of the angular frequency of narrow-band signal calculated with using of the two proposed formulas.
