SUBSTANCE: when implementing the method, a change of partial vibrations of reducer in phase region of the engine vibration acoustic signal is evaluated, that are defined as a difference between the known permissible values of gear vibration amplitude and extreme values of vibration amplitude function being calculated at the frequency of teeth engagement and in time interval multiple to the period of diagnosed gear.
EFFECT: determination of vibratory components at the gear teeth engagement frequency in common vibration signal of the engine under operation load.
