SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation and rocket and space technology. In the method of using the reusable first stage of the launch vehicle, for take-off and launch of the launch vehicle, the aircraft with the launch vehicle is output to a point located in the plane of its flight and the earth projection of which is separated from the landing site of the reusable first stage at a distance equal to the earth projection of the active and passive segments of the flight path of the reusable first stage. After the separation of the first and second stages of the rocket, the reusable first stage is landed in a predetermined area, for example, the launching site, along a ballistic trajectory.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to ensure the return of the reusable first stage to a given area for its subsequent use and, as a result, increasing the mass of the payload to be output to the orbit by reducing the reserve fuel for returning and turning maneuver of the spent reusable first stage.
