SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the way of production of optically active aminophosphinylbutanoic acids used in the weedkiller manufacturing process with the formula (2) where R1 is C1-4-alkyl, R2 is a hydrogen atom or C1-4-alkyl, R3 is C1-4-alkyl, C1-4-alkosy, aryl, aryloxy or benzyloxy, R4 is a hydrogen atom or C1-4-alkyl; * is represented by an enantioface carbon atom. The method consists in the following: the formula (1) compound where R1, R2, R3, R4 are determined above, is enantiofacely hydrogenized with the presence of ruthenocene and optically active phosphine.

EFFECT: efficient method that provides the production of the formula (2) compound with a high output.
