FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry. An offered modified adhesive composition for blade denture fixation contains, wt %: polyvinylpyrrolidone - 5, polyacrylic acid - 15, glycerol - 4, antiseptic cetrimide - 0.01-0.03; sodium alginate - 5, fir balsam - 10, silver nanoparticles of size 1 to 5 nm - 1, distilled water - the rest. Simplicity, safety and efficacy of the developed modified adhesive composition for blade denture fixation enable to use it in common orthopaedic practice.
EFFECT: adhesive composition provides considerable reduction of a length of adaptation to blade denture in patients with total toothlessness, causes no toxic action on tissues of denture-supporting area and body as a whole and shows optimal adhesive properties, staying unsolved for a long time with hot food intake.
