FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Proposed method comprises using the stack of pre-stressed rubber-metal elastic elements arranged in housing between front and rear thrust plates to act on brake and traction thrusts of center sill, deforming said stack and moving it back into initial position. Stack of pre-stressed rubber-metal elastic elements acts on car center sill by applying formed forced of front or rear thrust plates directly on traction or braking thrust of said sill. Yoke of spring-friction apparatus "Ш-1-ТМ" or "Ш-2-Т", or "Ш-2-В" is used as aforesaid housing. Stack deformations in lengthwise direction are isolated from effects of crosswise components of compression forces in, at least, the beginning and end.
EFFECT: simple and reliable operation, expanded operating performances.
