FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises special-purpose control unit and ballistic computer. Note here that fighting vehicle coordinates are defined automatically with the help of coordinate dimensioning system and loaded into control unit manually from commander station. The latter is used to monitor weather data received from fire automatic control system transducers and target coordinates to be loaded into control unit. Fighting vehicle lengthwise axis position is defined with respect to preselected main horizontal direction with due allowance for preloaded coordinates of orienting point, or with respect to north-south horizontal direction defined with the help of azimuth transducer.
EFFECT: expanded fighting performances, perfected fire control system.
