FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely the technology of growing potatoes for food purposes, and seeds. The method includes placing potato of the best forecrop, primary tillage, application of glauconite as a fertiliser, preplant soil treatment with cutting ridges, planting potatoes in ridges, inter-row processing, maintenance of a given soil moisture through drip irrigation, digging out tubers. Dried sludge residue is added to glauconite after aerobic biological treatment of municipal wastewater. Glauconite and the residue are applied after the primary tillage on the aligned field in the form of mulch layer.

EFFECT: implementation of this method enables to increase yielding capacity of potatoes without increasing the size tubers.
