FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: face seal comprises O-rings sealed by elastic gaskets with respect to casing and shaft and spring-loaded toward each other. O-rings have cylindrical ledges making a labyrinth their rubbing surfaces whereon applied is wear- and heat-resistant material layer, in particular, aluminium oxide layer applied by micro-arc oxidising. O-ring sealed with respect to shaft is directly coupled with aforesaid spring.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
