FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: server processor computes a correction between first satellite orbit data and second satellite orbit data, the second orbit data being more accurate than the first orbit data. Spatial components of the correction are then transformed from a first coordinate system to a second coordinate system, where second coordinate system is chosen such that variation of the correction over time in the second coordinate system is smooth. The correction is then sent from the server to a mobile station to enable the mobile station to evaluate more accurate orbit data for the satellite by applying the correction to the first satellite orbit data stored on the mobile station, where the correction, which is encoded in the second coordinate system, is represented by one or more polynomials.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining position and time of satellites on a mobile station.
