FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed convertiplane comprises two fuselages, front interfuselage horizontal empennage, rear interfuselage horizontal empennage and interfuselage center section. Central sections of symmetric fuselages, front interfuselage horizontal empennage, rear interfuselage horizontal empennage form rigid closed structural carcass comprising fins arranged on fuselage tail sections. Wing consists of cantilever parts rigidly fixed on fuselages. Wing outer sections may be made up of closed wing system. Convertiplane in various versions may comprises one, two or three center section wings. The latter may be jointed with fuselage via rotary assemblies that may turn through more than 90° in angle of attack. Engine-propeller combinations with in-line contra-rotating propellers are arranged at central part of center section. Said propellers may turb relative to center section axis. Center of thrust of propellers at vertical position of axles of engine-propeller combinations are located above designed center of mass of convertiplane.
EFFECT: convertiplane with propellers developing both lift and thrust.
