FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing gasoline or components thereof with octane number 92-93 using a research method from material containing dimethyl ether, in the presence of catalysts based on zeolite ZSM-5 with SiO2/Al2O3=60-83, containing not more than 23.0% aluminium oxide, not more than 0.09% sodium oxide and zinc in the range of 2-5%, where the process is carried out at temperature 300-400°C and pressure 2.5-4.5 MPa.
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of converting dimethyl ether to gasoline.
