FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to method of producing polyesterpolyols with functionality from 1.95 to 3.25 and hydroxyl number from 90 to 33 mg KOH/g. The method is realised in two steps. The first step involves reaction of organic polycarboxylic acids with organic polyols at temperature 150-250°C to obtain a polyesterpolyol with hydroxyl number from 100 to 40 mg KOH/g and functionality from 1.95 to 3.25. At the second step, cyclic ester monomers are added to the obtained polyesterpolyol at temperature lower than 220°C and weight ratio from 10:1 to 1:1. After at most 60 minutes, the temperature must be lower than or equal to 175°C. The hydroxyl number of polyesterpolyol drops by at least 5 mg KOH/g. The molar ratio of the cyclic ester monomer to hydroxyl groups of the polyesterpolyol ranges from 0.75:1 to 10:1.
EFFECT: obtaining low-viscosity polyesterpolyols using a simple and cheap method.
