FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry and may be used in processing of down feather stock. Said stock is placed in tight chamber to be filled with ozone and ventilated after ozonation, and stock is discharged. Said stock is arranged vertically in said chamber, on stationary racks at 45 cm from floor level. Ozonisers are arranged and chamber inlet and outlet at 2.5 m from floor level. Ozonation is conducted at 15°-35°C, air humidity of 45-80% and ozone concentration of 5.8 mg/l for 60 min, chamber load varies from 3500 to 7200 kg. After ozonation, floor exhaust and forced ventilation is performed for 60 min. Thereafter, stock preliminary dedusting, primary sorting and washing with detergents at 42°C are carried out with subsequent rinsing, squeezing, coating with wax, cooling, final dedusting and sorting.
