SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a softening detergent composition. The disclosed detergent composition contains glycerine monoether of formula R-O-(C₃H₆O₂)_n-H (I), where R denotes a hydrocarbon group having 6-22 carbon atoms, and n denotes the degree of condensation of glycerine and varies from 1 to 7, and clay mineral. 40 wt % or more of the total content of glycerine monoethers have degree of condensation of glycerine n equal to 3-5; less than 20 wt % of the total content of glycerine monoethers have degree of condensation of glycerine n equal to 1 or 2; less than 10 wt % of the total content of glycerine monoethers have degree of condensation of glycerine n equal to 1.

EFFECT: use of the softening detergent composition provides high detergent power and also softens fibre products being washed.
